St George’s churchyard was the burial ground for the whole of New Mills until the 1980’s.
To request a search for details of a burial, please write to:

- Give as much detail as possible about the burial
- Enclose a cheque for the search fee of £5
- Enclose a stamped self addressed envelope or email address
- Please give a contact telephone number
The fee of £5 is a for a straightforward search. If your request proves more complex, Mrs Jones will contact you to explain why, and to advise of additional fee before proceeding.
