The Friday Luncheon Club began in 1986. It was introduced by the Vicar of that time Fr Jim Norton to help those who have difficulty in attending the usual Church Services and social events.
The Club begins at 11a.m. in the Parish Hall with a Eucharist Service followed by lunch. It provides an opportunity to participate as an active member of the Church as well as socialising, chatting with old friends and making new friends. A chance to share your joys and sorrows and your problems if you so wish. Transport is provided where necessary.
For some it may be the only time in the week when they leave their homes or have company.
We are extremely grateful to all our helpers. We believe that the Luncheon Club is a wonderful institution.
In addition we would like to stress that the Club is open to all denominations. We also have an urgent need for more drivers.
