Parish Management Software

A Church of England parish is different to lots of other churches: being the Established Church means that we conduct services for lots of people who are not ‘members’ (and I wouldn’t have it any other way!). That means that we have details of some people who we might never see again in church – but those records need to be kept just the same. Of course, it would be good to see them again – and one of the ways we might see that happen is by keeping in touch!

I’ve been looking long and hard for some time to find some computer software to make record keeping in the parish easier, but so far without any success: it is all either too general or too convoluted.

To try and get over the problem I’m working with a local software company to create a database program from scratch aimed specifically at the Church of England.

It allows records to be kept of all the occasional offices like Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals. It keeps records of Godparents, Banns of Marriages (and when they need calling) and Next of Kin. It allows reports to be generated and letters or emails to be sent. It also allows records of Church members to be kept, alongside any groups they belong to.

I’m sure it will be useful in lots of parishes, not just this one: if you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch. It will be affordable and could make your administration a breeze!
